Local Area Information

The Isle of Man was the first entire nation to become a UNESCO Biosphere Region, and is, we believe, a very special and extraordinary place.  The Island offers visitors of all ages a wide variety of activities to enjoy.

If you love walking/hiking, why not try and complete the 'Raad Ny Foillan' (The Way of the Gull’), almost 160 km / 100 miles in length, providing an opportunity to walk around the coastline of a complete Nation!  For those who enjoy adventure there's sea kayaking, coasteering and paddleboarding.  The Island also boasts 8, 18-hole golf courses, so don't forget your clubs!

Take a trip on the Manx Electric Railway or Steam Train or just relax and take in some absolutely stunning views and beaches.

If dining out is your pleasure, the Island boasts a wide range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets from a seaside cafe, to a local pub to fine dining. You can even dine on a steam train whilst taking in the breathtaking views.
